CHRISTMAS!!!!

 Hey there bloggers! How are you today? Yesterday was........ CHRISTMAS!!!! So yesterday I went to my nana Irene's on my dad's side for some Christmas lunch I got so nickel things I can money safe, M & Ms, plus some cool hair stuff! it was soooo much fun! here are some pics of when I was there.....

After we left, we went to my other nana's so we could all have a nice hot Christmas dinner. On Christmas morning my mum had given me and dad a reindeer onsie so mum made me and dad bring it to my other nana's house! Plus she made all three of us wear the onise's. So here is what we looked like...

While I was still at my other nana's house me and my Aunt's, Uncles, cousins and grandparents all went for a walk along the beach because my grandparents live very, VERY close to orewa beach. Unfortunately me and my dad could not walk in the water (because that is what we normally do) because there was sea lice (sea lice is like hair lice but it is in the sea instead. In case you didn't know) so I hanged out and talked to my very amazing grandpa. So I thought I would share some pics of me and my grandpa on the besch.

Being The Creative One

  Hey There Bloggers, How are your families? Today I am going to share something. (it is a surprise!) So I am getting in to this book called Ella At Eden, and I ALWAYS read with some music on. Once I was done with my book I wanted to write like I was in the book in Eden Press (The book school paper!)

Being Bob The Builder/Girly Gardeners

 Hey There Bloggers, How are your families? Today I am going to share being the builder with my dad and me and mum being the gardeners of the family. So me and my dad build a garden so we could have some vegetables in case we have another Lockdown and we can grow your own vegetables. After me and my dad finished I drilled some holes for the water go through when we water the plants. Me and my mum planted potatoes, tomatoes, lettuce and cauliflower. After we sort out the rest of our garden we will also plant raspberries and other cool vegetables. Thank you for seeing my blog post. see you till next time!

Making Bookmarks

 Hey There Bloggers, How are your families? Well today I want to share my bookmarks that me and my mum made. First me and my mum went to my nana's so we could grab some flowers.  Then we pressed the flowers for a week. After that we got some white and light purple paper, then we used a dark purple pen and used the air to spray some ink on the white paper (witch I glued on to the light purple paper) glued on the flowers where I wanted to put them, and done. We made them into bookmarks. here are some pics..

holidays

 Hey bloggers! How are you doing today? Today I'm going to do a preview of my school holidays

So on the 9th of September I went surfing with my dad it was super fun we went to Te Arai Point. I could only stand up for a few seconds then I would fall.. SPLAT!  Right in the water.

Then I've been mostly stuck in my room most of the time playing and doing my own thing but then most of it also the time we can drop it off dad's lunch because we don't want him to stave now do we.

then also I've been making a new little curtains for my shelf and getting a new net curtain for my curtains because it's ripped.  

I also go on runs with my dad everyday. 

Well I know it sounds boring but I kind of like it because I just get to relax every single day and this we get a whole lot better if Jacinda our prime minister would just let us go down to level 2.

Using Book Creator

 Hello bloggers, What's up? I hope that you are all doing well. 

Today I am going to share my experience of using Book Creator. It was very exciting because I have never used Book Creator except when I was a middle school. There are so many cool things that you can do in Book Creator, you can make bold text, use stickers, and so many more things. Here is a link if you want to check out Book Creator. 

So when the teachers gave us a choice out of 3 questions to do an idea for our DLO in Reading, I chose the question 'What is happening at the Tokyo Olympics 2020 for the countries'. So I have been editing a book on Book Creator and it is going very well. You have to gather a lot of information for the book so then the teacher can see the book and be impressed and maybe even learn something new. 

My favorite part was that 

(a) getting to use Book Creator for the first time.

(b) that I got to learn something new.

The success criteria that I was working towards was... finishing my work and record time by the end of Friday. Also to find information that is relevant to the question.

You know how it is lockdown, well I will not let that stop me from having fun! I love hockey. So I did some hockey with my dad. He gave me a few tips. Like did you know that when you turn on the ball to turn around people from the other team could push you away from the ball! If you knew that then you are so smart because I did not know that! (taking that I am 10 and I love hockey) I never new this... How? Here is a photo

Today I would like to share my Olympic sports study with you. So the Olympic sports study is where you chose a sport from the Olympics and I chose... Surfing! Our Second Olympic Profiles!

 Hello Bloggers, How have you been? 

Today I am going to share about Te Waka Ako second Olympic profiles! This week me and the rest of the class focused on the Olympics. So we have done a lot of work on the Olympics. 

Before I say anymore about what we have done here is a link to one piece of work. So where was I? oh yes, now I remember! When it was term 1 Ms L (a teacher ad) told us to do our first Olympic profile. So she explained what we had to do and so we got to work. So that leaves us to now. So the Olympic profile is a profile where you put a pic of the athlete and then you have text boxes to put info about that athlete.

 Procedural Text Graphic Organiser is where you choose a game and then you'll have to tell people how to play the game and what you need.

I choose Minecraft because I really love this game.

STEM week Waikowhai student led toolkits

 Hello there bloggers! How are you all doing?

 I really hope that you  are all doing well out there :-).  This week was STEM week at Waikowhai (STEM week means... science, technology, Engineering, Maths). Also  today I would like to share Waikowhai student led toolkits! Well there were 24 presenters and 12 different activities that you could chose from, and as always the best way that our school chose how to chose what we would like we did a survey to help.

Here is what I chose to do.... .1. Word Art in Waitemata with Vivian and Hazel. .2. Web Cam Toy in the Hall with Dusty and Daiki. .3. Then finally I did Sphero with Cole and Caleb.

At the end I will show you some pics of what happened. These activities were really fun and I loved it. so you must try out Sphero, Web Cam Toy and Word Art!

Reading Timeline.

 Hello Bloggers. How are you doing? I hope you are well :-)

Anyways, I hope that you are here today so  you can see the things that I have been doing in reading class because that is want I am going to share toady. So on the 27th of May I started and finished my timeline it was I reading activity that I had to do. The timeline is about a book called Women in Sport. This book is about women in times past of how women were not allowed to play sport. 

Miss Daly made us do a doc where you had to fill in a timeline to show when they first started playing the sport and what progress they have done. The Morning With Miss McGrath.

 Hello Bloggers, how are you doing today? Doing well I hope :-) 

Anyways I hope you are learning, learning and more learning . This morning I came to school I put my bag away and came inside. Then Maddy (Madeline) came outside where I was and said " Aley did you know that today we are having Miss McGrath for the morning. 

So I came inside and as the bell rang I realised that I had to get my computer and there were going to be  no year 6s. I was so mad because my friends were all year 6s. 

So after Miss McGrath said the roll for the year 5s we did  lot of fun things like: Me and the year 5s made a "Fortune teller"  if you want to see how to make it here is a link.
 But anyways the next thing that me and the year 5s did was... finishing our work... yay. I finished my no Girls Allowed Google drawing.But that was our morning with Miss McGrath. if you want to see my NO GIRLS ALLOWED Google dawning here is a link to it.  

It was cool and fun but the best part of it... I got to connect with some of my old friends that I had in the middle syndicate. (double yay) 

well I guess that is a rap. oh and also be sure to see on week 8 on Monday to see my blog post on the year 5s going to the star dome on one tree hill. 

the year 6s had there turn but now it is the year 5s turn. (yay)

Today I am going to share about me and my schools trips to Cameron pools. 

The first day at Cameron pools Miss McGrath came too because she wanted to go swimming 

too! So she hopped into the pool too. 

I didn't know that she was even good at swimming! (and she did have an amazing breaststroke)

Every time that Miss McGrath came down back to the end of the pool I said..."go Miss 

McGrath" or " you are amazing" 

after that we got to finished off by  doing some dolphin dives

and hopped out of the pool.

the most terrible day at Te Waka Ako.

 Hello Bloggers

how are  you doing? I hope you are doing well. On the 14th of April 2021. I came to school like any normal day but it started poring with rain so I ran to Te Waka Ako deck and something very strange was happening. all the doors were locked and under the blinds we saw: Ms Sands, Mrs Jones and Ms Daly! And for some Reason they were wearing all black and they will bring face paint. 

I t was so wired. so many people thought we were play a game of Among Us! But when the teachers finally lets a in the class room we could only go into Manukau because... there were stings everywhere in  Hauraki and Waitemata!!! Then Ms Sands, Miss Daly and Mrs Jones said that we were going to experience how it felt like for the soldiers in the world wars.  So we had to for the whole day. We had to... be under the stings and if we put our heads above the strings the teachers had these little guns  with plastic bullets. Blog u later. Aley out!
