day 26 while in lock down
Hi bloggers
Today I was doing some more of my sewing project. I really enjoyed it because it really takes my mind off of things that are very annoying. Sewing really feels like you do not have to worry about anything. It is amazing. Hear is a tip : once you get something done it feels really good to get over and done with and move on to the next step.
This project has taught me to do the double running stitch and it is really fun , cool and really really amazing.
Hi Alexandra,
ReplyDeleteI am really enjoying your blog posts and the things you are doing during the lockdown. These sewing skills may be the start of a career for you! I look forward to seeing what you create next.

Hi Aley, I really enjoyed reading all your blogs. You have been super productive during lockdown. I have been doing some sewing as well. I can't wait to see your finished mermaid.
ReplyDeleteHi Alexandra, thanks for sharing your sewing project with us. The photos show how carefully you are concentrating as you work. I learned hand sewing at Girl's Brigade, as a child. I realized that I really enjoyed sewing and in later years I began doing cross stitch and embroidery. I also learned to do lots of smocking stitches which I used when I made dresses for our girls. Have you heard of smocking? It isn't done very much these days.
ReplyDeleteAs term two is now underway it would be great if you could share more of your super lockdown learning.
Stay safe and well in your bubble and we will see you when school goes back.
Awesome post Aley! This one has the detail I've been looking for. I like how you have explained your feelings about sewing, and that you've told us about one of the skills you've learnt. I'm really looking forward to seeing the finished item! Keep up the detailed blogging :-)
