on the 10th of April 2020 Alexandra and my mummy made paper mache and here are all the steps to make paper mache
.1. you get circle cutters and cut A - lot of circles.
.2. next you get one cup of flour and put it in a ice cream box.
.3. then you get another cup but it will be water an put it in the ice cream box.
.4. then you mix it all up and there you have glue home made glue.
.5. then you get a balloon and cover half of the balloon with the home made glue that you made.
.6. then you use the cut out circles that you cut out at the beginning and stick them all on to the balloon
.7. then you will wait for it to dry for the rest of the day and also all night.
.8. then in the morning you get the balloon out of the paper mache by cutting a small hole on the and on the balloon. BY Alexandra 🐱🐈
Hey there Alexandra, it sounds like you are having a lot of fun at home during this lock down. Thank you for sharing your Papier Mache instructions with us. Did you know that's the French term for what you did...it means 'chewed paper'. What did you do with the dried object? You could paint it perhaps. Or make different shapes to add on to it, then you might be able to turn it into a cat! I hope lots of other people read this blog post, because it might give them the motivation to have a go themselves and get creative!
ReplyDeleteIt's great to see that you've numbered the steps. Remember, because you have used the number, you don't have to use any time connectives...each step should start with a verb. eg, 1) Cut lots of circles using the circle cutters.
I'm looking forward to your future bog posts as we continue through the lock down. I'm also hoping to see you online in our sessions when the school term starts on Wednesday.
Stay safe and look after everyone in your bubble. :-)
thank you Ms McGrath for reading my blog. Now I have uploaded some new pictures of my paper mache so you can see my creation and mum said I should paint them to.
ReplyDeleteAlso I did not that it was called " chewed paper and I will be safe and be creative. yours forever Alexandra. PS: my short name is Aley. :-)
You're most welcome Aley (would you prefer to be called that from now on?) I think the photographs are a fantastic addition to your post! Your creations look like eggs to me - am I right? Happy Easter to you and all your family.
